One of the best institutes in Pune is the Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune. At a very early stage, this university started off with only one institute. But, over the last 14 years gradually it grew and became more developed and organized and now is one of the best engineering colleges in Pune. Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth runs various health care courses with high dedication like Medicine, Physiotherapy, Dentistry, Optometry, Nursing, and other important healthcare learning, teaching and research with the help of modern medicine.

They also perform development of research and education in Yoga and Naturopathy, Innovation in learning & Teaching and Research, Bioethics, Oral Implantology, Dental Material Testing, Advance Centre for Molecular Diagnostics for human Diseases, etc.

 

Other Facilities Available in this Institute

In this institute there are more than 6000 books and journals. E-books and e-journals are also available in these libraries. The library of the Medical College has spacious reading rooms for students and faculty.

The Central Research Facility has all the latest equipment like Flow Cytometer, Trinocular microscope etc. The dental college and the medical college of this institute also have a regenerative medicines lab and a molecular diagnostics lab respectively.

The Regenerative Medicine Lab planned so that it could solve the purpose of forming a nodal reference center which would be required by research in dental all over India. It also helped in vitro screening of drugs, pharmaceuticals and other dental materials. A platform for ongoing and proposed research theme areas was provided by the Molecular Diagnostic Lab. The purpose of sensing the population for the importance of detection and diagnosis of some rare genetic diseases was also provided.

 

Recognitions:

The D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune is a ‘deemed-to-be university’ constituting of Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, medical research center in Pimpri in Pune on 11th January, 2003.

The UGC also gave permission to the 3 new institutes namely Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology & Bioinformatics Institute, Pune, Global Business School & Research Centre, Pune and Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Optometry & Visual Sciences, Pune on 16th March, 2010.

The UGC-AICTE-DEC, New Delhi joint committee gave approval to the Institute of Distance Learning in Pimpri and Pune on fourth august 2010. On third June 2014, the institute was given confirmation for continuation. On the month of July 2018, the institute had also applied for the continuation for academic sessions.

The Patil Vidyapeeth was again accredited by NAAC with A grade. This was done with a CGPA of 3.62 on 4 point scale. This university is also an ISO 9001: 2015 certified institute.

Many large national and international universities had collaborated with this institute so that the institute would have substantial academic growth and development towards the important nationwide matters like educational services and healthcare services.

2. Education units like MEU, DEU, NEU, PEU, PTEU, MgEU and OpEU at institutional level.
3. Medical and Dental Colleges at department level.

Recently, Biotechnology Institute of the Vidyapeeth has received the prestigious ‘DST-FIST’ award for the development of infrastructure and equipment for teaching and research.

 

For Direct Admission / Management Quota Admission to Various Programs 

Any candidate looking forward to join this institute through direct admission program needs to apply directly through our website. He/ She needs to register and upload the required documents and wait until the management approves the application.

As per the discipline in which the candidate wants to join, he/ she needs to appear their respective entrance tests and produce a valid entrance tests score in order to get direct admission and grab a seat in their choice of discipline.

If the candidate doesn’t have a valid entrance score or result, then he/ she can opt for the Admission through management quota.

This process starts just after the entrance results are declared. Here, the candidate doesn’t need to produce entrance result but can submit a development fee to the management and can grab a seat in their choice of discipline. The candidate willing to get admission through this process must register on our website and upload the supporting documents and then visit the management of the institute located in the main campus building.
